Creating the Perfect Harmony
Choir, Show Choir practice and work hard
Members considered Choir and Show Choir the place to go and everyone was invited to join. Mrs. Holly Stocks had a way of making people feel at home. Whether they’ve known her for years or just became a part of the team, a connection was made.
“I have wanted to join Show Choir since my freshman year. Seeing them perform at Fall Follies, they had such charisma and spunk. They just seemed like nice people to be around. I love it,” said Jacari Mayfield, 11.
Being a part of the team wasn’t always easy. Like any other team they had their practices and their fundraisers. With a wide variety of performances throughout the school year, the singing never stopped.
“When I’m about to perform in front of a crowd I get anxious, but after the crowd’s applause it gives me a sense of accomplishment,” said Eden Wallace, 10.
The annual tea rings has a lot of work put in also. Mrs. Holly Stocks made everything fun and with the right people there was no doubt everyone would have a blast.
From singing happy birthday to lucky students in class to those few free days a year, it wasn’t all completely work, it was fun.
