Title I - District Info

Title I, Part A-Improving Basic Programs Operated by Local Education Agencies

“The purpose of this title is to ensure that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach, at a minimum, proficiency on challenging State academic achievement standards and State academic assessments.” (Title I, Part A, § 1001).

Tahlequah Public Schools’ Title IA program focuses on improving student achievement in Math and Reading, quality professional development for staff, and Financial Literacy for students.  The site and districtwide plans are analyzed and revised annually by the districtwide Title Programs Planning Committee and each site’s Title I Planning Committee.
